Interesting reading, I start my 10 day C&G course at Downland cycles, Kent a week Monday. Applied for a job at TDA in the process.

Just a thought but I find that something you may enjoy and get great pleasure from, such as servicing your own bikes, isn't necessarily something you'd want to do day in, day out to make a living from!

Now in our tenth year of running a mobile bike repair service - yes you can make a living if you work hard. Get a proper qualification or you will not get insured. And you should not be running a business if you are not insured properly as today's world is very litigious! Your customers need to know that you are qualified as this helps with their confidence in your capabilities. Recommend The Bike Inn courses - this is where I went and later went back to teach part of the course for several years

Do you mind me asking roughly how much you can make from that, after outgoings?
Sorry if that's too personal a question.

Indeed - I stopped playing the guitar for about 10 years after a few years of being a professional musician...killed the passion I once had.
