Setting rear gears - Inconsistant cable tension

Makes such a difference having new cables,

Sure does...feels better than mine now!

I have been reading that SP41 cable is the bees knees as far as standard (meaning not gore ride-on, or sram flak jacket) cable goes. I think I might have to get some for the secteur and roubaix... And to think I was thinking about getting ultegra Di2. ;-)

I dont rate jagwire cheapo stuff!

As the outers were only £5 for the set, and new inners £4 each I have just don my roubaix. It didnt have and probles, just didnt feel as good as the one I have just fixed. Now the change is lighter and more direct.

I think for the £13 outlay changing shift cables will be at least an anual maintenance item. Well worth doing. Though I have to say that Im dissapointed with how the feel of the jagwires had gone so quickly, probably only about 600 miles woth of use.

Which jagwires?

Their oem kit doesn't seem very good, but I bought a 'racer' kit and have been very pleased with it.

I think its labelled as either "L3" or "E3"

Seems like their "cheapie for the OEM market" stuff. Similar quality to the plastic pedals you get with specialized bike to try it round tha carpark.
