I've always thought of myself as a bit of an idiot, but even I was surprised by my latest...

Picking my way thru' the people sitting around after a set at Womad, looking around, I retrace my steps to where...

"Sorry, but I was sitting here a minute ago, wasn't I?"
Two women nod heads, "Yes...have you lost something?"
"My sunglasses."
"You're wearing them."

Beat that!

I frequently look for my sunglasses, give up, put my helmet on and then it's not as comfortable is normal!

Been there. At a TT last week I finished my warm-up and went back to my car to unload my top layer etc then went into a panic because I couldn't find my glasses - until Mrs B pointed out that they were tucked into a helmet vent, doh!

It wasn't me, but a friend whilst caving complaining that he needed a new caving lamp as his current one was getting rather dim - "try taking your clip on sunglasses off" - was the suggestion

On holiday in Scotland a few years ago, I left my car in a busy car park in the middle of Inverness, locked it and went away. Came back a few hours later, put my hand in my pocket looking for my keys as I walked back across the carpark towards my car. Panic - no keys. Tried all my pockets an started looking through the pockets on my rusksack. No keys. Arrived back at the car in panic. No car keys and very far away from home. When I arrived at the car, I realised I had left them sitting on the roof...

Top car security tip brought to you by Tyred.....just shows how undesirable my car actually is.....

Driving under a height restriction with a bike on the roof - that's pretty ********* stooopid.

Drove away from a building site with all the files for the project on the car roof... I got back and realised I'd not got the files so rang to tell the site manager that I must have left the files behind... he told me that they had spent 20 minutes racing round the car park trying to catch all the papers... they had too- all except the fee agreement which never turned up...

I did almost the same thing in car park in Doncaster. But I'd left them still in the lock in the driver's door.
I lost my son (when he was 4) at Womad in 2004. After an hour of frantically looking for him we received a call from a couple of hippy chicks who found him happily wondering around. (I'd written my number on the inside of his forearm.)
ha i can beat that . i lost my three year old son once and frantically looked around for asked my other son had he seen matt and he replied he still sat on your shoulders . he had been up there so long that it felt just normal that this weight was on my shoulders and i had forgotten all about him . daft thing was i still had his legs in my hands
