Well done dotbike! Mine arrived in todays post and I have just fitted them.

Now if the wind and rain would just go away for a while, I might get a chance to find out if they are a worthwhile upgrade...........

A shining example of CC helping people, helped me, I also bought a set plus black pads from DotBike, my Secteur is reserved just waiting for my C2W voucher to show up, some time this year.

my fratello came with cartridge brakes, fine and sexy looking but wore out too quick

LBS suggested one piece Ultegra and they've been great, you can only lock the wheels

I like 'em - position them once, and that's it, just slide worn cartridges out, and new ones in. I'll take a little less longevity for that... Have to say, I do like the Shimano compound too (the wet/dry one they do) although it seems less kind to rims than the Koolstop or fibrax.

Finally got a chance to get the Secteur out in the dry today. A very pleasant 30 miler from Kilwinning up the back roads to Glasgow. Then I let the train do the hard work into the wind . The KoolStops are definitely a big improvement over the originals when it comes to stopping power, and sound much more rim friendly too.

Not such a huge difference as was the case with the Tricross. The standard pads on that were truly useless!

When I picked up my second hand tricross the brakes were really poor, mainly due to the rims being worn away. A change of rims and "borrowing" the brake blocks from my bros commuter improved things alot.

I have just put some kool stop tectonics on, not yet bedded in, but still an improvement.
