I would put it on eBay with a start price of £1200 and see how it goes (take lots of photos). You must accept that you are going to have to take a hit on the price you paid.

Imho the likelihood of someone buying it for that price is very small - if I were interested, I would have found that Fatbirds is selling a new one for £809, ok it does not have the upgraded components, but it is new, with warranty and would be my size.

Roughly speaking ime a used bike in exceptional condition will generally sell at half the new price on ebay, while a so-so used will fetch 1/3. Of course there are exceptions, e.g. quality folders seem to fetch over 50% of new price regularly even in so-so condition, undoubtedly it is a matter of supply and demand. I don't see any great demand of high end road bikes exceeding supply, I suspect people in that market know and would try to get exactly what they want unless the price is very attractive.

Generally speaking a bike is worth more in parts than complete, but it would take time and hassle to sell it that way.

For a more upright riding position, it is probably worth experimenting an adjustable stem with different handlebars (you might want to see this and this).

How on earth can you sabotage someones eBay listing?
I've PM'd you the details

Thanks for all the advice people, the general feeling i'm getting is that it's probably better to persevere with the bike for a while. Spoke to the shop where i bought it and they suggested a set of riser bars if the shoulder doesn't get any better. So that's another option at least.

Been to see a sports therapist who performed some deep muscle massage on the shoulder and it was better for a while, so may try that again. Quite costly though!!

By the sounds of things, i'd probably loose quite a bit of money in trying to sell the bike.

Thanks again for the advice though.

Rather tan starting to mess around with position and funny stems/bars, it may be wise to invest in a proper bike fitting, on a proper jig, and explain what you intend to use the bike for. If it's a relaxed rather than race position you want, then that can be sorted out. Once you have that, start by putting the bike into that configuration, and see how it goes. You will probably make some minor tweaks, but only adjust one thing at a time, and never more than a couple of millimetres, to see what the effect is.
Plus a visit to aproper sports physio for attention to the shoulder. I spent the second half of my race years carrying a bad shoulder due to multiple crashes and operations, but it was managed with physio help and some special exercises/stretches. Never, ever, give in, as someone once said, pain is temporary, quitting is permanent. Bon chance.

There are no recently completed listing on ebay to try and judge it by, but there is one currently listed HERE. Don't know if that helps?

Don't know if you plan to, but now you've made it public on here I'd think twice before listing it on ebay. There are some people, (from here sadly) sabotaging peoples ebay bike listings. Contact gb155 for more details.

That was an isolated incident, I think its hardly conducive to stir the shoot by making it sound like its happening often.

Bidding using prank accounts, and winning with no intention to buy? It isnt rocket science.

I do believe Gaz's bike was a single act of disgusting wanton discrimination, and as such it may have been an isolated incident as far as CC, gb155 and the stupid non-paying bidder goes, but it definitely happens far more than you might think. I've had to file more non-paying bidder claims this year than at any other time. Myself, friends and colleagues have been done several times. Ebay is, (sadly), chock full of idiots and it's getting harder to differentiate them.

I sell on ebay - not bike related stuff.
You do get a very small number of non paying bidders. Peole who contact you afterwards and apologise saying that they have changed their minds and dont want to complete the deal. (no problem)
But this is a completely different thing from deliberately sabotaging a sale.
I woudnr be put of ebay on this basis - i would be more worried about the price you would be likely to get for it on an ebay auction. A fixed price ebay sale would be a better idea.
or advertising in the bike media .
