Selling Advice Merida Road Bike.

Hi, I have what is pretty much a brand new Merida Road Lite 901 bike in red...size is medium 54-56cm. 24 speed with shimano sora gears...Shimano 105 pedals Alex DAI16 rims.

This was bought brand new about 14 months ago...it has literally not done anymore than 60 miles since new and only taken out in dry weather. It really is in a brand new condition apart from couple of light scuffs on the rubber around the brake lever. Reason for selling is that i just dont have time to ride it anymore due to new job.

Think i paid around £450 or £475 for it new. Any advice on what price i should be asking for it? Bearing in mind it is in as new condition. Picture attached

Comparable bikes with Sora are circa £600-£700 new.

Yours has decent pedals too, so if you sell it as it is, I reckon you should advertise at £400-£450. You could always lower the price.

Check ebay to see what similarly equipped bikes sell for - i.e. Giant Defy 3, Trek or Specialised Allez.

Ohhh and...what you paid is only relevant to you, not to the sale. Buyers will look to see what bikes are currently selling for and pay similar.
