Yeah have a good ride folks. Should be a good first sportive as it is for me. I'll try and say hello but I've no idea how big the crowd is going to be.

Enjoy - I'm heading up to Sutton Bank via Tadcaster on the Ravensthorpe CC annual 120-mile charity ride, so if you're on the 90-miler our paths may cross.
Enjoy that!! I'm on the 60. I don't envy you going up Sutton Bank!! Thankfully the Selby ride is meant to be flat!

Yes - the green/white kit was Ravensthorpe CC with others added on.
I saw a few on the sportive as I was in a group of 3 off the front.
It seems like you had a good day out.
Was a great day! Only shame was the bloody wind over the last 10 miles but I battled through!!

Well done to Selby CC - was the first time they ran the event and I thought they did a great job although they might want to badge the feed stations up a bit better!! :-)

Did you do the 60 mile route, the 93 mile route was headwind just about all day long apart from a few miles on the way back.

Yes the route kept going back on itself to make up the mileage, after the first 20 miles I ended up in Cawood, that is only about 3 miles from Selby normally

Great ride. Ended up doing 62.2 miles, all down to missing a sign chatting away. Garmin came in at 3:14 so mussent grumble. My biggest ride in 18 years, had a small break from cycling but it's like I've never been away. Absolutely loving it.
Next on my radar is a sportive in Garforth, 50 mile Spadger's Memorial Ride.
