I wouldn't worry to much about food as they are providing food stops along the way or so it says on the website. The trouble is this is the first time they have run this event so no one knows what it will be like.
I plan on taking 2 water bottles a couple of gels and some sort of bars to chomp on and maybe a bag of Haribo and hopefully the food stops will be ok otherwise it will be a few stops at a garage or shop along the way and I will of course be having breakfast but I will be getting up at about 5am to get the car loaded and drive there for 8am.
There are some tips in this weeks cycling weekly. Might be useful to some folks. You could always read it on the newstand if you dont want to buy, its only a little article
