Slowly I'm upgrading bits on my bike, just recently I bought a new seat that's about 1000x better than the one that came with the bike (so much more comfortable)

The only problem is, the new seat is a different shape, and as such Im still adjusting/sliding it forwards and back to get it into a nice position.

While doing this iv noticed my seat post seat attachment section is not exactly engineered well. I was wondering if there are any better, easier to use (in regard to moving the seat about) seat posts out there?

It's save to assume what I have now is a cheap as chips seat post.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated

Ther are lots of seatposts [not sure what type you have] made from lots of materials but unless there is a fault with yours or it's insanely heavy, I'd spend the money on something more usefull. After all it may be a bit fiddley moving the saddle but once it's done it's done for a long time.

Unless it's made of steel I'd leave it.
Even if it is made of steel I'd still probably leave it.
And if you're going to ask us what is better than what you've got, at least give us a a clue what you've got! Model name and/or a photo would help.
