Seat post to long?

Is it possibel for to much of the seatpost to be in the frame?
Could this cause a rattle/buzzing noise?

Never heard of one causing a buzzing...maybe one of them bonty buzzkills would sort it?

no! No my wife has those in her 5.2 and I really dont like the look of them!

It doesn't sound like a likely source of a buzz or rattle, there's a lot of other places I'd look first.

If you're really worried, and it's that long, hacksaw off the excess.
