Have one on my NC 750, which is working a treat, but on a bike..... I suppose if you did a whole lot of mileage, or were in the TdF or something...

I had one on my motorbike when I was a dizzy but I can't see the point of one on a pushbike. I am pretty sure that if I needed to lube mid ride, there would be something wrong there. I do carry a little bottle of GreenOil in my saddlebag but haven't needed to use it, on a ride, yet.

An answer to a question no-one was asking. A while ago, I had three motorbikes, and they all had a Scottoiler. Excellent bit of kit and well worth it when you are putting 100+ bhp through a chain costing £100+ for thousands of miles in all weathers, especially if you are doing long trips away from home. But on a bicycle - no. I am surprised to read about the forum tactics (assuming these were orchestrated by the company) as whenever I had to contact them they seemed a down-to-earth bunch of people and very helpful.

All that to carry 30ml of lube? Be easier and cheaper to take the bottle of whichever lube you prefer!

Never had one on my motorbikes and would certainly never put one one a cycle.

When I Oil my chain I am also looking at other thing. For loose fittings or wear on the bike.
