Scott Speedster vs Speedster gravel disc difference?

@AndyRM, I will concede that fully internal cable routing from shifter to mech is a nice touch but on the flip side it does make tinkering a pain if you need to change the stem or bars for whatever reason.

Very true. I guess that comes down to personal preference to be honest, but yeah, internal routing can be a faff which is worth bearing in mind.

Gravel frame also has 3.5 mm less reach (Horizontal Top Tube) in the small size and 2.5 mm more reach in the medium size relative to the Road frame - owing to the differing seat tube/head tube angles. Probably not enough difference to be that significant but they are definitely not the same

I don't think I'd buy either. Ribble's AL CGR (Cross/Gravel/Road) looks like good value because it's on sale right now.

I'd go for this, as a budget option (£999 - Tiagra):

Or this (+ £400 - 105) which looks like it has hydraulic disk brakes:

Hey guys thanks for your help!

Yes i know, the claris is not the yellow from the egg but i can get a used shimano grx for a good price so i will change it anyway sooner or later.
Also i really like the design of this bike and i could not find any other bikes in this price category with internal cable routing.

She means when it comes to changing cables.
Why do you need to change the Claris? Derailleurs are not like eggs, the entry level ones will work perfectly fine and you probably won't be able to to tell much difference from a used GRX.

Yea when you change cables it could get a bit challenging.
Yes i think so. I will use it 90% for commuting and for this the claris is plenty enough. But if i can get a very good deal on a grx i will still think about it.

Cost of cassettes and chains on 10 SPD + is much higher too!
