Could you please provide a link to the exact bikes so we get the correct specs and years.
I suspect it'll be just frame clearance and fatter tyres on the gravel plus lower gearing.

Yup, I think you're right.

I did a quick google and the speedster gravel version comes with 45mm tyres and the not-gravel speedster with 32s. It doesn't actually give clearance figures but I think we can infer that the gravel has more clearance.

The gravel has a subcompact 46/30 chainset and wide 11-36 cassette
The notgravel has a compact 50/34 and more standard 11-32

These were the 2 bikes I looked at (which are not necessarily the right ones)

Gearing wise the gravel will lose a bit at the top end, (for bombing along on flat roads or downhill) and will gain a lot at the bottom (for grovelling uphill).

Usual advice on here is go for the smaller size. Me, I prefer a bigger frame. Try if you can.

Neither are available for the gravel and 54 only for road in your links.
If buying from a shop, try both for size and comfort

I wouldn't be surprised if they were the same bike, and your paying a £200 premium! For wide tyres and a bigger spread of gears?
