Forty odd years ago many Juliet Bravo scenes were filmed here in Great Harwood and other parts of east Lancashire. This and such as Z Cars and Softly Softly were my favourite television dramas 'back in the day', as they say! Which was/is your favourite police tv drama and have you any memories of not just police dramas but any tv scenes or even full episodes filmed near to you?

2Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps was apparently filmed in Runcorn - just across the river from here and I ride through it a lot - especially in summer

I never watched it and didn;t even live here at the time so I didn;t notice

not sure if that is a "claim to fame"???

Lovejoy used to be filmed around these parts, there was a scene with them in this fish & chip shop. Another scene had them driving along a road with the camera cutting between the car occupants and the view along the road. Successive cuts showed sections of road about 20 miles apart and travelling in opposite directions....

I watched them film this Last of the Summer Wine scene with Compo in the bath on wheels, but that was when I was up there on holiday. I was at the front of the queue when they stopped the traffic whilst the camera rolled.

A scene in Shameless was filmed about 40 yards from my first house, which was around 20 miles from the actual set that it was mainly filmed on.

Quite a few of the roads used in Peter Kay's Carshare are local to me, and the real Phoenix Club is about two miles away.

I can't do any better than that unfortunately.

This scene from Benny Hill was filmed at my old school during the holidays.

As you can probably tell from looking at the buildings it’s a private school. And it didn’t go down well with parents so the Headmaster left soon after.

Scenes from Judge John Deed were filmed at Aylesbury courthouse and market square. A house next to a family friend's home was used as Jenny Seagrove's house several times.

Hyacinth Bucket's house is in the same street as Mr D's Dad, still gets fans taking photos to this day.

Not thet I've seen it personally but people I'm still in touch with tell me many of my old juvenile haunts appear in Shetland.

The video to Cliff Richard's Wired for Sound was filmed in and around Milton Keyne shopping centre, which was my old beat when I first joined the dibble.

Happy Valley

Loads of places through the 3 series I recognise, the finale of S2 is at Sowerby Bridge Station which had a convenient freight train stopped on the line to close it for filming. S3 managed to have Bolton's Court House stand in for Leeds though they did at least switch back to Leeds when xxx escaped.

Marvel Secret Wars

Had several scenes shot around Halifax and Leeds, I like that characters would walk around one corner in Halifax and emerge the other side in Leeds lol. Also Sammy L Jacky went for a steak at the pub near me whilst filming, it made the news.

the thought of being chased off the premises by scantily clad Mum's would have been scary - for several reasons!!!

Many programmes filmed in Preston which is 6/7 miles away
