Say you were given £10k to treat yourself, what would you buy?

I’d continue my circumnavigation of Australia, by bike of course, heading west (clockwise) from Adelaide all the way round (where possible) the coast(ish) roads until I arrived back in Sydney.
Then I’d return to the place I liked best and just blend in (illegally of course) with the locals and see my days out there.
Failing that, I’d buy a secondhand Skoda Yeti for the 10,000 grand.

10k is huge and something I've never even contemplated before. To be really selfish it would have to be a month off work maybe 2 to do a cycle tour. Lovely

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
I've been there - having won £12,500 in 2008, and £5000 earlier that year.

Me? I bought a nice car (to me) and we went on a family holiday, which we couldn't afford the previous year. Or we would have done, had a not won one of those as well, so we had the nice holiday a year later.

Fast forward 14 years and I'd buy a nice car (to me) again plus probably upgrade one of my bikes.

Eminently sensible. I would do similar in regards to utilitarian expense. I'm a man of meagre means.

A work mate about 15 years ago won £74,000 on the lottery. Cue, big TV, stereo, flashier car etc. 5 years on and he's appearing on the daytime TV show 'Don't pay, we'll take it away.'

Short sighted.

Mrs Gunk could soon find a use for 10k, however if I could get away with it, I would buy a 1970 T120 Bonnie, IMO the most beautiful bike ever made.
