I think a tenor is a better choice than a curly soprano. Far more versatile and I find it easier to play once I got use to the physical size.

The weight difference was a bit more then I thought it would be. Been using one of theses for the last few weeks. Took a couple of days to get used to it, but really comfortable, take the weight from my neck.

Indeedlydoodly. I knew a trumpeter once who decided to switch to sax. He was heavily recommended not to as the embouchure is different and you can really end up screwing up your lip muscles. He got away with it though.
