Sorry please could you explain what the "Velominati Stuff" is. I am very new and unfamiliar with a lot of the things in this new culture that I am really excited to become a part of. I am a massive petrolhead and have been really into my car culture and modded cars that are done correctly rather than someone who puts half of Halfords onto their mums old car.

Even though I have an older 2nd hand Cannondale CAAD8, I am more excited as I know I can do a lot of jobs on a bike from my past when I would tinker on bikes for hours. I've been fanatically learning about setting up the saddle height, the front stem height, bars angle and using SPD-SL's for the first time. I'm even getting excited about being able to give it a good clean and make the bike look and feel great. With my back problems, I have never been able to do my own work on my very limited edition Impreza P1, so to finally be able to tinker away on the bike has been such a great thing for me to be able to do.

Is it "Fauk Pa" to be a total petrolhead and also be into cycling and the mechanical side of things?
Just remember Guy has broken his spine..............................................Twice

Not at all, there are a few 'petrolheads' on here including guys who raced Motorbikes (at National level)

Check out what Guy Martin is up to these days, not racing motorbikes at the TT and Irish roadrace meetings but really 'in to' 24hr solo MTB riding/racing. :bicycle:

Guy Martin is the sort of bloke who most people would love to sit down and chat to. He seems such a top bloke who is old school, which is something I respect greatly.

Does has a sponsorship/tie in with Orange bikes? I remember seeing a video with him visiting their factory. Orange is a brand of bikes on my bike bucket list of "like to own one of one day". I finally achieved a dream I had when I was in my teens, which was own a Cannondale with the oversized tubes..
