Saris Solo Bike / Cycle Carrier / Rack

I am looking into buying a cycle carrier rack, anyone have/had and what do you think of it

We don't have that exact model but we do have the Saris Bones which is an excellent bit of kit. We bought it because it was the only rack that would fit on SillyCar. Bombproof and simple to use, would imagine their other products are of similar quality.

I also have the Saris Bones 2. TBH I wanted the SB 1 but the price difference was so small I went for the 2.
It is rock solid and I feel confident with 1 or 2 bikes on it......unlike the previous one I had.
I was going to get the more expensive Thule but they dont fit my Astra 12 plate.

I had a solo for a few years. It carried both my mountain bike and road bike without issue with speed of unto 70mph although the mountain bike with pretty much the max weight it would take. It is an idea to use an addition stop on the front wheel though to stop it from hitting your car and potentially damaging your car. It is super light and easy to store one word of caution though the feet will leave marks on the paint work. These do buff out with a polish though (not just washing). I would recommend definitely.

I used the rack on my on hatchback (mazda 3) and saloon (Lexus is200) but it didn't work on my jeep strangely enough it wouldn't sit flat on the vertical tailgate but as the bike now goes in the jeep not an issue.

I have bitten the bullet and have bought the Saris solo, I haven't as yet used it but using it tomorrow, so will update after I used it
