As it says on the tin. stage one of the Giro. Total nobber, but not a massive shock.

SK will be pleased he doesn't have to mispronounce his name anymore.

It seems to me that there have been a lot of positives recently, and I am unsure if that is good or bad. Lots of cheats, but they seem to be getting caught.

Vaughters and Miller both saying they suspected as much.

Clicked on the Di Luca thread... only to see a "already covered in another thread" post in it as well

FFS. Another dopewit Pro uncovered. And I thought cycling was being cleaned up. :banghead:
Same team as well, which does not make Scinto (the manager) look great. Once can be a mistake, two begins to look like something is amiss in monitoring. While it's a lousy thing to happen, at least the cheats are getting found out, slowly.

The manager didn't want di Luca in his team but was forced to accept him by the sponsors apparently and he had suspicions about Santambroggio but no evidence - in his defence. On the other hand, I have no idea how easy it is to administer epo or blood bags during a race without anyone in his team knowing. Given that his performance tailed off in the last week it may be that he doped up before the race and was unable to top it up during the event.

It was quite a noticeable drop as well, which shows what a difference EPO must make.

I've heard there have been changes in the tests, which suggests that perhaps people who previously knew how to beat the tests are being caught out. And it means the testers are perhaps catching up with the dopers.

All of which is excellent news, in my book.

And it shows that cycling is taking the doping problem far more seriously, and achieving far more in combating doping, than other sports.

Read this and my head fell forwards....
Seems only a couple of days ago that Santa was beign praised for his riding and not one suggestion of doping was mentioned.
When and where will it all end?????

Well hopefully with a GB/Froome clean win at TdF!
