The queen of the nurburgring, such a bubbly , fun personality , gone far too young

Jeremy Clarkson - after a few attempts celebrates doing a sub 10 minute time (by a whisker) of the track in a Jaguar. Schmitt mockingly says ''I can do that time in a van''. They give her a standard production diesel transit (rather than a faster model) and she so quite nearly does so.

How I wish she'd beaten him and wiped his smug face.

Last time I was at the "Ring" I saw her in the paddock, very smiley and enthusiastic. I was "making progress" in my MX-5 when the Ring Taxi went past in a blur.
