At best, that is misguided, at worst... well, there is no worst case for identity theft.

I think that's what he means.

The signup is powered by gigya and as you will be able to see, it uses verified facebook connect etc as you can see from the url. If you at still sceptical then you can contact facebook etc to verify it.

To be honest with you I will stick to mapping sites that do not require this type of personal info. BikeHike for example
