So the tyre that wears fastest, takes the most weight and is the least convenient to repair when a 'P' occurs will always be the most worn - and, therefore most likely to have puncture problems!
If it's that bad that it's causing grief then replace both if you can afford too . But I reckon that as rears wear so much quicker, the front when swapped will still be in pretty reasonable shape, so you'll still get a fair mileage out of it ont he back before it causes Aggro. What you wont have is a very old front tyre which might look OK wear-wise but might be degrading/aging in other ways. It works for me.
