I am thinking of ordering a Rose CL on line, but not sure of the sizing. I am currently riding a 54cm Trek, but Rose are recommending a51 cm? Any advice appreciated. Seems a tad small for me?

I went with the size they told me after the guy asked me my height. The size was spot on for me. I wouldn`t want the hassle & cost of returning the bike.

The guy asked me my height and inside leg, I should have said. I understand there are all sorts of measuements and geomotries that can be used depending on how specific the fit needs to be. When I have asked staff in bike shops they have always said height and inside leg.
Paul, I got a 53cm and I`m only 5` 8". I don`t know if the fact that my bike has flat handle bars makes any difference. I guess that aspect is more to do with reach.

This is the issue with online purchase where you cannot realistically try the bike for size.

Cinelli experience has a 53 or 54.5cm top tube depending on which measurement you look at.
The 51cm bit comes from the seat tube on the medium bike

Rose may measure a different part of the bike to get their 51cm size label

Unless you've had a bike fit and know what good feels like, I'm not convinced a trial ride is that great a gauge either..!

Looking at their geometry plan not sure where the 51cm comes from? But has a 52cm TT so see how that compares to Trek (what model is it, presumably a 1.x model if upgrading to the Rose?)

I got a 55cm frame and have a 56cm on my Felt. It feels fine to me, a bit more of a relaxed position .

I'm between a 53 and 55cm too with a Rose. They have suggested a 53cm from the info I have given them 5ft 8inch with 83.5cm(I think) Inseem which apparently means I have long legs for my height.
The 55cm has the same effective top tube as my current 54cm Giant. I'm probably going to go for their advice but the only thing holding me back is the shorter top tube which the 53cm would have. Pretty sure though, for me either would do but I don't want a stem shorter than 10cm so I'm gonna opt for the 53cm with spacers to raise the front to my liking.
