are they not just as tight as regular cycling tights ,,im after something i can wear thats not gona look really "cycle" ,,,

No they are like the Ron Hills with a warm lining for winter and they come up a bit further than the ron hills so you dont have your arse hanging out, they are my favorite to wear in winter.

Go into a bike shop and ask if you can try them on.

For this time of year altura winter cruisers are worth a look as well.

+ 1 for the winter cruisers, they also do a thinner one, summer cruisers.

I have a couple of pairs of the bikesters and I would not recommend wearing them in low temp's, the wind cuts straight through them and they are terrible when it rains.

I started off with bikesters then moved to the Altura Summer and Winter cruisers, in low temps I would wear long johns under the bikesters, with the winter cruisers it has to be well below freezing to need the long johns.

I know everyone one is different but you must like to be very warm

I only dig out the bikesters if it gets to subzero temps , otherwise i use a pair of lycra running tights over my shorts as i find them warm enough once i get going .Last winter i got did fine with bikesters and leg warmers when we had the temps of - 10 or lower .Only down side to the bikesters is they do not keep my lower back as warm as i like due to my bike set up.If i had the money then i would be lookign at some bib tights .

Currently i use these as they are nearly as thick as bikesters and come up higher on my back , cheap as well...

One of the strange side effects of having a chest full of stents is feeling the cold more than you did before they were fitted. You sound very hot blooded, just like I used to be, but as you said we are all different.
