Rollers, never used them although I know folk who have and also know folk who have spent time in casualty, many fit both categories.

Turo a nice holiday destination went there once and had an ice-cream.

Watt Bike, the only way to train indoors.

We have both, much prefer the rollers as you are using your core as well, much more realistic.

My rollers are aluminium ones and are reasonably quiet - quiet enough to use in a 1st floor flat without disturbing those below.

As said above, as you have to balance they do exercise your core as well as promoting smooth circular pedalling and they do improve your bike handling when back out on the road. It also saves having to mess about taking wheels off or fitting special tyres etc - just drop you bike on and off you go

Mine are the PlanetX Resist rollers - http://www.planetx.co.uk/s?q=rollers - which do offer magnetic resistance, so the faster you pedal the greater the resistance. If you can stretch to the fork stands, you can use them more like a turbo.

PlanetX ones are actually made by SportCrafters who also make them for CycleOps

I run my trike on rollers through the minging weather, I really quite like them. Just plop the trike down on them and go.

I do wish I had got a set with a bit more resistance, but they will do for now, it'll just have to be long aerobic base sets until the thaw comes...

I think if you are on a df, they have a lot of core strength benefits, which I did miss a few years ago from only training on the turbo all winter...

I had an old turbo which I sold and bought rollers. I thought it would be easier to set up and add a bit of balance to the equation.
If truth be told, with a family I rarely get a chance in the evening and unless it's really awful, I'd rather be out on the bike.

Iif you really intend to use indoor often, the one thing I would suggest you think about is if you want to connect a turbo to something like Zwift and get a bit more out of it.
