Rolhoff hub

I keep wondering if I should save up and get a Rolhoff hub for my Genesis tour de fer. Any of you know if this would be a straight switch over other than the obvious cable run change.

Should be straightforward although you'd have to run a chain tensioner and get the correct torque arm for your frame design.

You can run it without a tensioner if you fit the right chainring and sprocket combination for your chainstay length, see magic gear calculator.
But it means fitting a new chain more often than if you ran a tensioner.

There's a used one going for £650 on this forum😉
Only travelled Lejog twice, down to the shops, and from home to work at Poole Hospital for a few years.
