Anyone know what size allen key I need for the remote lockout cable anchor bolt on my forks? It looked like a 2mm, and I managed to attach it using this size, then (being a bit of a doofus and in a bit too much of a hurry) realised I hadn't done it properly, so went to undo the bolt again, when it became apparent that the 2mm key was actually a bit too small. A 2.5mm is too big, so I presume there is some preposterous imperial fraction-of-an-inch size that I need? Either than or I rounded off the bolt head when I tightened it - but that doesn't seem likely as I didn't use a lot of force .

3/32 a is very common imperial size (2.3813mm)

as is 9/64, which is what most people need (Mirycles) when they go trying to buy a 3.5mm allen key.

There's still a reasonable chance that anything designed, built or intended for the US, will have imperial sizes.

Yip, that's what I was going to say. Good on them I say, we should've stuck to our guns too.

Well it's a possibility . Maybe I don't know my own strength. Seems unlikely, though. I tried a surf fin key last night that I thought might be 3/32 - that was too big.

Yes, it was a serious question popette.

Well, petal, you needn't worry your pretty little piggy head about that. It is most certainly an allen bolt.

But I am not up for a row - I tried a 3/32, and even a 2.35mm, and they're too big. So I am reluctantly coming to the conclusion that Crackle is right - it was a 2mm as originally suspected but I have managed to knacker the bolt head. What a doofus. Or a popette. Or something.
