RIP Murray Walker

There was a (very) short tribute to him on Match of the Day tonight, apparently he made his first ever broadcast in 1949.

Sherman tank commander in WWII as well, respect.

A commensurate professional - who else could put as much enthusiasm into rallycross at a wet & muddy Lydden Hill as he did to the BTCC in the '90s and F1 over the years.

R.I.P. Muddy Talker.

The Walker/Hunt team were wonderful. Murray would get wildly enthusiastic about some mechanical detail in a race.....and James would correct him like a patient school teacher "Err, actually, what's happening is that......."
