For anyone who’s a fan of Mr Noakes, he’s going to be a guest on “Thank Folk It’s Friday”, 8pm-10pm this Friday 27 July, on Celtic Music Radio, 95FM in Glasgow. (or http://www.celticmusicradio.net) where he’ll be chatting about his new CD, Welcome to Anniversaryville.

He told me something similar in 86 or 87 at Glasgow Green just after Elaine C Smith had tried performing "I feel love" to a crowd of Trade Unionists on Glasgow Green (she got hauled off the stage later when, smashed out her skull she gave a 15 minute rendition of "Stand by yerrrr maaannnnn".
I recommend this documentary Teenage Superstars about Scottish Indie Pop. It has The Jesus and Maty Chain, Primal Scream, Teenage Fanclub, The Soup Dragons, The Vaselines and most relevant here BMX Bandits View: https://youtu.be/R93aCevFHCg
