Not my cup of tea, but an inoffensive guy who emerged squeaky clean when so many of his peeers were anything but. He had an intwresting life and did a few things alright, fair play to the guy.

Yes a very rare talent, it seems like today's comics have to curse & swear to make you laugh

Funnily enough only recently I was youtubing the Morecambe and Wise xmas show and saw Des O'Connor. Given my naivety from the 1970's, it seems that they have all come through unscathed where others haven't. As a kid, I did laugh at them making fun of Des O'Connor, different times...
