Back when the Crazy Frog was popular the Cumbria Tourist Board sampled a flock of sheep into a version of "Jerusalem". I've had it as my ringtone ever since as it's instantly recognisable.
I have heard it on one other person's phone and that was an extra in the Woolpack on Emmerdale

The fanfare has a longer version with great shot's of Yorkshire. If you fancy a trip down memory lane most of the episodes "how you used to live" are on YouTube.
Being from Lancashire I should have gone with the Granada TV fanfare,... but Granada didn't have a fanfare, and they didn't produce How We Used To Live, which is why I ended up with the Yorkshire one. Got most of the available episodes on my harddrive :becool:

The mobile phone occasionally rings and I answer it if I feel like it + the only person that rings the house line now is my mum.. When I used to click on 'mute' to ignore it I always forgot to unmute so never bother now. I've not looked at 'settings' to change anything- perhaps I should!

Doesn't cost anything to have it on.
No, but it means that people can ring YOU...

It's a subtle point that might be missed by sociable people!

Your point being...?

I'm not interested in receiving calls when I'm away from the house. If someone wants me that badly they can come and speak to me face to face. If that's too much effort, then clearly it had not been necessary to speak to me in the first place.

It's not a matter of being anti social, but a matter of valuing my privacy and not wanting to waste my life as a slave to inane drivel whenever someone feels the need to lay some on me. I get enough of that on here!
