i know it will sound stupid to all those who know but on a 29er rim could a fit a 700x38c tyre or a 700X22c tyre? does the rim width not matter?
Cheers Ed

I had 25's on my 19mm internal width rims no problems at all, I reckon 22's would be fine but would need to be near max pressure to stop snake bites.

i was using 22 as a random example but a 28 mm or a 38 mm would fit?
Cheers Ed

You've asked more or less the same question on a previous thread. Did you look at the chart I linked to on that occasion? Page 7 of this document from Schwalbe lists what width tyre will fit what width rim.

There's a load of other useful info on tyres, tubes and their construction in there too. It might be worth saving the link in your favourites.
