I have a pair of the single led knog ones like those I chuck in my mtb backpack in case I'm caught out late and intended to use those as secondary lights, but they've be resigned back to the mtb pack now ;)

I'd agree with others that you should always have 2 lights front and 2 rear (but I think you're sorted there).

Hi Viz clothing is always good, much cheaper from building suppliers etc than from bike shops, but the sizing tends to be very generous! See e.g. http://www.hivis.net/

You can get sticky backed hi viz sheets in various colours that can be cut up and stuck over bits of bike frame and fork. See e.g. eBay and search for hi viz sheet. I think this can be better at staying clean than tyre sidewalls. I have decorated my commmuter bike with this stuff, but it depends how worried you are about the look of your bike :-).

Just got back from my first night ride, I thought i might bottle it so i went out while it was still light so it would be dark by about 1/3 into the ride then i'd have no choice
Was really good, car's didn't seem to be to much of an issue and my lights seemed fine.
Even saw a couple of deer crossing the road which was fab. Feel a bit tired now as it's the first time on the bike for 2 weeks due to a cold, tomorrows ride will be interesting but hey, if I want to get my mileage up so i can come play with you big boys n girls I need to put some more effort in
