Friday night defo suits me better but like the sound of ride to the sun more

I said to @Louch that I was up for the Saturday night pedal. I did the edfoc one last year and really enjoyed it - and it's a loop which makes travel easier - but I fancy a change. With the exception of the Devil's Beef Tubs just after the (chippy at) Moffat it's a reasonable ride.

The Trossachs Ton is on the Sunday BTW.

When I was speaking to @Scoosh on Saturday he said they hadn't quite decided yet

The programme in the edfoc email had the date set. Which surprised me as usually says tbc until nearer

Trains can't be booked yet.But For cost of train down looking in advance just now, it's still cheaper than the edfoc night ride (£25) and you get chips at mile 45. Done the edfoc one twice now and fancy a change.

Actually, you don't GET chips on the Ride to the Sun, you buy your own chips - do you think the wee independent business people in Moffat will just stay up late and feed lots of cyclists for free? They deserve big tips on top of their normal charge, as far as I am concerned

@Louch, are you perhaps looking at last year's EdFoC calendar? Not sure where you are getting your information from! Not the horse's mouth, obviously ... As far as I know, the organiser and key helpers (aka those that feed you) haven't QUITE fixed the date yet.

The main choices are the two Friday nights during the Festival ...
