Suppose I start arguing with myself over the answer, who's going to sort it out?

....the number of days in a week less the number of days in a long month less than 1/5 of 10 times the square root of the number that is four less less than the number of days in a year?

The sentence is, mathamatically speaking, badly parsed. Read sequentiallly and ignoring the 'than' that doesn't make sense, the answer is minus 62.

Read as "the number of days in a week less (the number of days in a long month less than 1/5 of 10 times the square root of the number that is four less less than the number of days in a year) and the answer is zero.

Even that assumes the section in brackets is sequential. Put brackets elsewhere and you get another answer altogether!

Oops I was tired when set the problem it should have been more tightly defined as five consecutive adjacent conjunctions...

Have a free go.

Oh, that old chestnut!

Note from a typographer's manual:

There is too much space between "the horse" and "and" and "and" and "the cart".

No it wasn't. It was in the letter from the butchers Williamson and Sons to the sign writer complaining that the sign writer had left to much space between Williamson and "and" and "and" and Sons on their newly painted van side.

Ner ner ner ner ner nerrr

Work out the next number in each sequence. Then converting the numerical answer to an alphabetical(A = 1, B = 2 & so on) answer will give what word reading down?

0, 3, 6, 9, 12, ........
3, 4, 6, 8, 12, .......
