Ok so preliminarily 58 frame with 90mm stem or 56 frame with 110mm stem. That makes sense.

I would go with the smaller frame. It is more feasible to make a smaller bike bigger than a larger bike smaller

That makes sense.

Just got to decide on the wheels then and I think I'm set.

Has anyone had a bike from Ribble recently? Just trying to work out lead times; I've got my first triathlon coming up on May 18th and ideally I will have had a week or two to practise on it first, does that sound viable if I order it late this week/early next week?

Took mine around 3 weeks to arrive, so I'd order this week to give yourself the most time possible. May be worth a quick call to check how busy they are.

The spec as it currently stands. I think I can just about stretch to Fulcrum Racing 7 wheels which looking around seem to be a fair upgrade over the Shimanos, my only slight concern is spoke count; should I be going for something with more spokes?

How heavy are you? I have just put fulcrum 5 on my new build and I am not light

Did you measure your shoulders? Do you need a 44cm bar, that's quite wide.

Oh and lose the black bar tape ;)

I'm pretty light (73kg), I tried to measure my shoulders but it's quite hard with a shirt on using a tape measure so I'll try and measure them properly tonight.

Bar tape colour is where I'm really stuck! Those bars are only available in white but they're 40g lighter than the alternatives (not sure if it's worth it). I thought I'd match the white bars with a white stem but thought white bar tape might get dirty a bit easily.

I'm terrible with colours etc... so any advice on that front would be very much appreciated!

Having seen that bike with both black and white builds, I think the black looks loads better.

I don't know the other one, but that fizik stuff is really good, even the white doesn't get that grubby (as long as you avoid the awful soft feel stuff which is dirty looking from the outset)
