Looking for advice. i've got to many bikes in the shed and i would like to own more. most of the cycling i do now days is commuting miles and i would like a more commute/audax type bike. so the first bike to go would be the sirrius road bike reynolds 531c, mavic MA2 wheels, RSX sti levers, shimano 600 chainset, 1055 derailiers front/back, Rolls saddle. was thinking of selling on ebay but do i sell as a complete bike or split and sell as parts. how much could i ask for the whole bike, i've got a bit of an idea of what the parts are worth on there own.

If maximising profit is your goal, it would probably be best to dismantle and sell the components seperately. Personally, I wouldn't have the heart to do that but many do.

Maximum profiit isn't the main goal but i have had some of these components for a long time and don't want to sell for next to nothing. i don't use the bike very often so needs to go one way or another. any estimates what i should reserve for as she is. TIA

I thought it looked big, too big for me anyway! I'm looking for a bike just like this providing the price was right and that looks like a tidy bike.

Reserve price?

(High opening bids always put me off)

There were some frames on ebay, fake Reynolds 531, going for over £100.... also, some genuine 531 with a fresh coat of paint going for £300.

If the frame is in good condition then you should get close to £200 on ebay I think.

That frame is the right size for me but it's the wrong time..... I'm already working on a little project.

thank for that, would rather sell for that price than split the bike up.but i also had a mad idea to make it into a fixed gear. and it gets worse, the wife recons i have more bikes than i can use but was in at the LBS on friday and there is a Merlin audax type bike second hand for sale and when i told SWMBO about it she said go get it if you want it, boy am i confused
