Restud Winter Tyres

I have a pair of 26 x 2.00 Schwalbe Marathon Winter studded tyres i've used on a bike when needed for the last two commuting winters. They are very good but over time i have lost about 10% of the studs. I contacted Schwalbe on this form today and have been promised some replacement studs sent to me at no cost.

Great tyres and customer service. If you need to restud why not drop them a line.

First thing I did when I bought mine was email asking them where I could get spares, knowing full well they would send me a load. Was one of the first tips I picked up off here.

Slide new studs into fully inflated tyre using a wee dollop of washing up liquid.
Tip kindly shared by @SatNavSaysStraightOn last winter. It works!

It does work, perfectly, thanks both for sharing the tip. One restudded rear tyre dead easy.

Also +1 for Schwalbe's excellent and speedy customer service getting plenty of studs sent out by return post. No quibble even though the tyres are a couple of winters old now.
