38 or so in first thing in the morning before getting out of bed, move veeeerryy slowly to measure heart rate so as not to raise the rate too much. Sat at my desk now its 56 but I had just inspected my lunch and realised I had forgotten to put pickle on my cheese sandwich, so that got the old ticker racing a bit.

I have no idea what it is these days, but mine was in the 30s when I last had a proper work-over (about 6 years ago now). That was when I was cycling fairly seriously. The nurse who took the reading said the only reading she had ever seen that low before was also a cyclist.

I dont know how scientific it is and it would probably need to be repeated an averaged but I fitted my hr strap before sleeping last November and the min was 44bpm, max was 85bpm and average 58bpm.
