Bus was indicating well before you, or the car, got there... Sure I recall something in HC about letting buses pull out.
With 20/20 hindsight the best thing may have been to pull in left behind the bus and let the car do what they choose.

That's not to excuse bus drivers subsequent actions which may, or may not, be related.

One question - was there a reason for not taking a stronger primary after that layby/pull-in at 20 secs ?

Mate, you've really got to sort out that camera view - having it squashed like that makes it very difficult to judge how close passes are.

With a car on my rear I would also have been hesitant to stop and let the bus out, but then it is the bus driver's responsibility to wait for a safe moment to pull out, and he/she should not expect people to do so. The pass did look too close to me, much too close, but I can't judge easily by how much because of the distorted video view.

Yes the highway code does say if safe let the bus pull out - hence I was made reference to the reason I didn't ! I'd had a car sat right on my ass for a while and knew he was still right on my ass - had he not been there I'd have simply done what I always do and waved the bus out then drafted it ;)

You are choosing some setting when you set up the project to make it come out like that. See if you can choose 1080p or similar.

When i had my run in with a Stagecoach bus, i just googled their local depot and rang them, explained to the receptionist i wanted to log a complaint, she put me through to someone who took the reg number, who then confirmed it belonged to another depot ...and promptly gave me the number and name to contact.

Very efficient, no fuss, no aggro.

Stagecoach bus drivers are invariably dangerous loons whether you are a pedestrian, cyclist, in another vehicle or even a passenger. The drivers and the company don't give a f*ck about road safety. Two days before Christmas eve I saw a Stagecoach driver driving his bus down Castle Hill towards the light at the bottom, full of passengers, braking furiously for the red light, whilst texting on what looked like an i-phone balanced in his hands as he steered with his elbows and his passengers looked like they were going to meet their maker - reg of bus AE10 BWU time was about 6:25pm. I tried calling Stagecoach as I was walking up Castle Hill on the pavement to report what I had seen, but meet recorded messages. The plods were totally disinterested.

So if you value your life stay out of the way of Stagecoach buses and certainly don't ride on one.
