Replacement crankset

Hi guys, I've got an old Scott Hybrid bike that I purchased from Evans cycles about 5 years ago. I need to replace the Shimano crankset on it but can't find it anywhere so I assume it has been discontinued. Its a Shimano FC-M443, how would I find either a Shimano set or any other that could replace the original.

You will need to Indentify the BB axle, I think there are about five different types, and then find a crankset to suit. Some even come with their own BB spindle.

Are the cranks kaput or just the rings? Replacement rings are widely available. Spa cycles carry a decent selection.
