Removing Triban 3 rear wheel

Its the nut thats hitting the mech not the lever so a bit more practice I think!
I find exactly the same thing...also put it down to lack of practice but was a real sod the other day when I got a puncture. Couldn't get it off roadside so was another walk home (luckily only just out of village!)
We'll keep at it...if you find a magic formula let me know!!!

This problem is not unique to the Triban (I didn't find it much of an issue on mine tbh) My linear recumbent......now that is a pig - and I almost need a trolley jack to raise the back of it! (Weighs 15kg before panniers, rack etc. and my shoulders are shot)
The job is easier if you completely remove the QR skewer.....making sure not to let the springs ping off and get lost and replacing them correctly ( narrow top to centre of wheel). Make sure your rear derailleur is set so the chain is on the smallest cog on the wheel...and if the derailleur is in the way dont be afraid to take an allen key to it and slacken the mounting bolt off a bit to increase your wiggle room - which is something I have to do on my bent.
Just remember to tighten the derailleur bolt up once you have the wheel back in place and ensure it is in the same position as before.
