Removing Sigma Spoke Magnet Thingy

I bought a used bike with a Sigma computer. I removed the computer and wires but the spoke thingy is very securely fastened to the front wheel.

I've only ever dealt with the screw on type before.

Any tips on removing this thingy would be appreciated.

The silver bit just slides over the black bit and traps the spoke in the middle try putting on some WD40 or light oil

Think I used a small electricians screwdriver to pry the clamp one side of the clamp open - be careful though - if it's all plastic like mine you don't want to break it.

Mine is a tube shaped, transparent plastic thing with a metal core held on by a tiny hex bolt, will undoubtedly break if forced.
