as above, if spanner at 12 oclock then push back for both sides to remove .

Spanner (or allen key) just above horizontal, pointing towards rear of bike, place heel on end of spanner, hold brakes on, apply weight.

Yes, I always remember it as: to remove the pedals, the spanner needs to spin like the crank would if you were backpedalling; to attach them, it spins like a crank driving the bike - or just look at the flipping threads!

Depends on how tight. I have had a seized pair before and had to use an impact wrench.

If it is really tight then use a spanner and not an allen key. Then support the opposite pedal on a brick or similar and give the spanner a sharp blow with a hammer. As said above make sure you have the correct direction when hitting the spanner.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they are that tight take cranks of and use a vice, have had to do it that way a couple of times,
