I used my Lidl workstand today for the first time to do a decent job, fit a new rear mechanism, chain and freewheel. It was great not having to bend down and finishing the job with backache. The only problem I had was refitting the rear wheel. It is a nutted axle and I could have done with another pair of hands. For 50 odd years I have been removing and refitting wheels with the bike upside down. It just isn't natural doing it with the bike the right way up. I'm not sure now that I have seated it correctly and in the morning I am going to flip the bike over to slacken the wheel then retighten it once I am happy with it's position.
The workstand was great, by the way. For home use I would recommend it. Don't know how long it would last in a commercial setting though.
