I used my Lidl workstand today for the first time to do a decent job, fit a new rear mechanism, chain and freewheel. It was great not having to bend down and finishing the job with backache. The only problem I had was refitting the rear wheel. It is a nutted axle and I could have done with another pair of hands. For 50 odd years I have been removing and refitting wheels with the bike upside down. It just isn't natural doing it with the bike the right way up. I'm not sure now that I have seated it correctly and in the morning I am going to flip the bike over to slacken the wheel then retighten it once I am happy with it's position.

The workstand was great, by the way. For home use I would recommend it. Don't know how long it would last in a commercial setting though.

When did the workstands go on sale at Lidl, I've been looking for a reasonably priced stand for a while now

It was a few months ago now, I bought it but just not had reason to use it till today.

They come up every now and then but you need to get to the store early when they do to beat the Ebay merchants!

Same as Paul. Gravity helps when putting wheels back on.
