OK. So it wasn't planned, but I have used the YPK in a real situation now.
Managed to get a pinch flat while out yesterday. I can honestly say the pump performed great . I got the tyre up to pressure very quickly without too much effort (I had already done 40 miles by then and was somewhat knackered ). I didn't actually check the pressure but it "felt" like about 90-100psi. Certainly plenty hard enough to finish the ride!
The real adavantage is that because of the hose connection, you can put the end of the pump on the floor and push downwards rather than trying to brace one arm against the other as with with normal pumps. Also, it doesn't wrench the valve stem about - which is always something that had worried me.
Thoroughly recommend it. The best £6 I have spent for a while!
