Recommend me a Mint Sauce to splodge on our Christmas lamb...
And on other things, too!

The recipe based on chopped fresh mint, a bit of sugar, and mixed up in vinegar is how I have always made it. I remember as kid being sent out to my grandmother's garden to pick some mint for our roast dinner. The mint plants had become almost a huge hedge it seemed to me as a six year old

I avoid mint jelly.
i always like the tang that vinegar gives when in 'normal' mint sauce.
Aldi's, Asdas own brand they're both more than ok in my eyes

Yes.. It needs vinegar IMHO. It'd be bland without the tang..

Can't imagine what that would be like in cucumber raita, and have absolutely no intention to find out.

No idea as I wouldn’t. This is about mint sauce with a roast, not whether or not to eat mint.

Mint freezes well, btw.

TBH, just buy a bunch of fresh mint from the supermarket if need be. Will still be better than anything that comes out of a jar.

That's a good idea.. I'll keep a look out for some 👍
