This is a very good read.

I have literally just finished Chris Froome's autobiography 'The Climb'.

For someone who knows little about pro' cycle racing I found it a thoroughly entertaining and enlightening read.

Starts in his childhood and ends up at his first TdF win.

He's certainly a driven man, very humble and a passionate anti-doper all of which comes across loud and clear in this quite long tome.

Interesting insights into the characters of Wiggins & Contador, as well as life in general in the peloton, along the way too.

A friend/work-collegue asked me if I wanted a few books, as he was having a 'sort-out', & he had too many to carry on bike (he doesn't own a car)
I took my daughter, & had a drive over this morning.....................
To be met by two rather large piles

This is approximately half, I left all the Rapha (& various other) magazines, for another visit

I never knew there was a book about 7-Eleven!!, & I certainly remember those 'Tour' booklets (might even still have some of my own)

Fignon's book is great. Paul Fournel's "Need for the Bike" is a lovely collection of musings on why cycling can have such a hold on people. Louison Bobet's "Tomorrow We Ride" is great too.

Benjo Maso's "Sweat of the Gods" is an intriguing look at the symbiosis between media and professional cycling, and the myth making around it.

Although not a cycling book per sé, Graham Robb's "The Discovery of France" touches upon cycling and the Tour de France, and is terrific in its own right.

Matt Rendell's Pantani book is good, and has a similar eye opening effect to Rough Ride, imo.

Matt Rendell's Pantani book is good
I found that was a bit too stat driven but that may appeal more to somebody less shallow than me.
And I like Matt Rendell.
