My mate got a Joe Blow and it was hard work blowing up the tyres compared to my Rennkompressor. At only about £15 more it's a no brainer. His Joe Blow couldn't get the tyres up to 120psi no matter how hard we tried! Can't remember the exact model he had but be careful if buying a cheap pump to blow tyres to a high pressure. May be fine for MTB tyres though.
There are 2 types
  1. High volume- suitable for MTB tyres that take a lot of air and rarely run at more than 65psi
  2. High pressure- More for racing bikes and thin tyred hybrids capable of inflating to 160psi or more
That's not to say that the higher pressure ones will not inflate MTB tyres but you will need to give them a lot more strokes. The clue is in the barrel diameter, the fatter they are the higher the volume/lower the pressure (for a given pressure on the handle)...................Physics innit.:becool:

I have the Joe Blow Sport II, bought when my Lezyne Floor Drive packed up. I have no problem getting my 23mm tyres up to 120psi and it works well with my OH's MTB tyres.

I do like Lezyne's screw on chuck but the Joe Blow's been very good so far.
