rear wheel wobble!

hi there.

my 1970's rayleigh road bike has a bit of a wobble going on on the rear wheel its not the rim or spokes that seem to be the problem its on the hub. There is about 5 or 10 mill of movement each way any ideas/links on how to resolve this would be great!!

You have loose cones. Have a look at this, which should tell you what's occurring, then tighten your cones a bit. Not too much, or your wheel won't turn! But some.
